My hero!

The other night we were playing "Castle" I was the Princess, Hunter was the Prince, Jay was the Guard and John was the monster guy trying to attack us. Hunter was a sweet little prince and took my hand and kept me safe from the monster. "Come with me!" he told me. He said that Princesses didn't need swords and he would keep me safe. If I tried to pull my hand out of his, he'd hold it tighter. He didn't let go of me until we declared the game over! What a sweet little gentleman we are raising! I love that kid!

Thoughts By Jay

Tonight we were getting in bed and praying and Jay said he was afraid he'd have a bad dream tonight so I started to pray for him to have good dreams. He stopped me and said "No Mom, the thoughts are in my forehead. I have a computer up there, you know. The thoughts go (sound effects) 'vvvvvvv.....shooooopcling' into my head!' So I typed good dreams on his forehead keyboard and he was good to go to sleep!

G'nite all!

Alabama Tales

We headed out to Alabama at 4 am! As John put the boys in the car, Jay woke up and looked around and said "What's taking so long for the earliness to get here?" (We told him we were leaving EARLY so I think he was wondering when we were leaving!) He never went back to sleep and was actually very pleasant and helpful on the trip!

Hunter was his usual cute and funny self! He started saying "I love (fill in the blank)" about EVERYTHING! "I love my boat hat", "I love these pants", "I love that guy", etc. Too funny!

(H took this pic! I think T looks cute even though my head is cut off!)

Tyler tried his first banana and I wish I had his reaction on film! He made a "Mom, what the heck was that" face and spit it all out. Not fan...sorry bud! As I was finishing his banana he caught a glimpse of it, shivered, and made the same face! Ok....no more bananas for awhile!

There are more pics on my blog!

We went to the church down the street from our house today. Jay didn't want to take any pictures so here's a couple of Hunter!

Moments that make me smile

Today we went to a friend's house for a birthday party. We had a great time! The boys ran around, played bunt ball, picked flowers, played in the rain, got really dirty. It was a good day!
Jay had his shirt off and his new size 5 shorts are a little big for him right now and they were sagging and showing the top of his undies. Hunter noticed this and said to John "Jay's undies are showing...silly 'ol bear!"
Jay brought me a big bouquet of flowers. Tyler snuggled in the sling for a long nap. Hunter ran around just being cute. I love to just look at my boys. This time in my life is temporary and so precious. I hope I never forget these little moments that me smile! =)

when life gives you lemons, j will make some lemonade!

H Approves!

I love lemonade and so do the little supers around here! I taught J how to make lemonade and now he loves to make it all by himself. He's really good at it too! Today he "eyeballed it" and it was SO good! Here's the basic recipe. (J's original recipe is top secret...sorry guys!)

1/3 cup lemon juice
3 cups water
1/4 t.- 1/3 t. liquid stevia

Mix ingredients into an adorable summer pitcher, serve over ice and enjoy!

The Name Says It All!

You might be wondering how my children acquired these silly names...um...so am I! It's Sarah's fault (my sweet sis in law). After each of my children were born she looked at them and gave them their nick name that she still calls them to this day. J is Fat Man because he was a chunk-a-monk! H is Huey...I think just because it's actually short for his name. And T is Cross-Eyed Joe because he had a serious case of infant cross-eyedness (that's the technical term ;) ). I'm not sure where the "Joe" part came from though. After T was born we said that all their names together sounded like a comic strip of superheros. So that's how this blog got it's name. Life around here is quite an adventure and I'm so excited to share it with you! So please enjoy The Adventures of Fat Man, Huey, and Cross-Eyed Joe!

My Little Superheros!

I don't know about your house but at mine I live with real live superheros! I never know who is going to show up for breakfast. Peter Pan? Buzz Lightyear? A sweet little doggy named Bonto-Ba? It all depends on the morning! There's no lack of imagination in my house! And please don't insult the supers by calling them them by their secret identity names. They must remain in character at all times. You never know when bad guys are going to attack and the world will need to be saved! Yesterday we had Super Man (J) and Hammy (H) from Over the Hedge (his mask was on upside down and I wish I got a pic!) So be warned! If you venture into my house you may be greeted by a Fierce Lion, a Ninja Turtle, or even a Space Ship! Come over for lunch sometime...when else will you get the chance to have a PBJ with a real live super hero?
